One factor, every ingredient
Scale from the yield—not from guesswork.
The multiplier is target yield divided by original yield. Moving from 8 portions to 14 gives 1.75×, so every ingredient receives that same factor. Units stay exactly as you entered them.
What “kitchen-friendly” rounding does
Grams and milliliters over 10 are rounded to whole numbers; small quantities keep one decimal. Kilograms and liters keep two decimals, and whole items round to the nearest quarter. Switch to exact when your process needs the unrounded calculation.
